OUR PROGRAMS

Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)

Goal: To promote mental wellbeing, emotional resilience, and psychosocial healing for individuals and communities affected by conflict, trauma, or marginalization.

Through our Mental Health and Psychosocial Support program we aim at breaking the stigma surrounding mental health through:

  1. Community-Based Mental Health
    • Healing Circles: Facilitated group spaces for trauma processing a peer support.
  2. Strengthen Resilience
    • Resilience Labs: Workshops on mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and creative expression (art, music, drama).
  3. Capacity Building
    • Psychosocial First Aid (PFA) Training: Equipping teachers, health workers, and volunteers to respond to crises.
  4. Integrated MHPSS
    • School-Based Programs: Safe spaces for psychosocial support and social-emotional learning (SEL).
  5. Anti-Stigma Campaigns
    • Community-led radio shows, theater, and social media campaigns to challenge mental health taboos.

Partnerships: Ministries of Health, local NGOs, and faith leaders.

Women, Girls & Youth Empowerment

Goal: To empower women, girls, and youth with the tools, platforms, and opportunities to actively participate in decision-making, economic development, and social change.

We run empowerment programs that offer opportunities to help participants build self-reliance, economic stability, and targeted initiatives to prevent and respond to gender-based violence by:

  1. Enhancing Leadership & Participation
    • Leadership Labs: Interactive workshops, mentorship programs, and fellowships for young leaders and women change-makers to strengthen their capacity to influence policy and community-level decision-making.
  2. Promoting Economic Empowerment
    • Skill-Up Incubator: Entrepreneurship and innovation labs offering training in digital literacy, financial literacy, vocational skills, and business development to enhance economic independence.
  3. Advancing Rights & Protection
    • Rights & Dignity Clinics: Mobile clinics or community centers offering sexual and reproductive health education, GBV support services, legal aid, and mental health support.
  4. Fostering Civic Engagement
    • Amplify Voices: Storytelling, media training, and digital advocacy campaigns led by youth and women to challenge harmful norms and influence public discourse.
  5. Creating Safe Spaces
    • Community Action Grants: Small grants for youth and women’s groups to implement grassroots solutions and establish safe learning spaces.

Livelihoods & Economic Inclusion

Goal: To strengthen the economic resilience and self-reliance of marginalized and vulnerable populations through inclusive, sustainable, and locally driven livelihood opportunities.

Through our livelihoods and economic inclusion program, we connect community members with microfinance institutions, helping them access small loans to start or grow their businesses. To complement these efforts, we also provide

Legal Aid & Advocacy

Goal: To protect and promote the legal rights of vulnerable individuals and communities by increasing access to justice and accountability mechanisms.

Our legal aid program offers legal clinics where individuals can receive advice and support. Beyond individual cases, we actively engage in advocacy and policy dialogue to affected marginalized groups through:

  1. Legal Awareness
    • Know Your Rights: Public forums, radio shows, and toolkits tailored for women, youth, and refugees.
  2. Access to Justice
    • Mobile Legal Clinics: Free counseling and representation for GBV, land rights, and labor disputes.
  3. Policy Reform
    • Strategic Litigation: High-impact cases to challenge discriminatory laws and practices.
  4. Community-Based Protection
    • Paralegal Training: Deploying community paralegals to provide frontline legal support.
  5. Safe Reporting Systems
    • Confidential hotlines and child-friendly reporting mechanisms for abuse survivors.

Child Protection

Goal: To ensure every child lives in a safe, nurturing environment, free from harm and exploitation.

Every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment in which to grow and thrive. Our child protection program creates safe spaces where children can learn, play, and express themselves without fear. The programs focuses on:

  1. Violence and Abuse
    • Community-Based Mechanisms:
      • Child Protection Committees: we engage parents, teachers, and leaders in surveillance and referrals.
      • Awareness Campaigns: we use street theater, media, and school clubs to combat child marriage, labor, and FGM.
  2. Systems
    • Case Management: Training social workers in trauma-informed care and family reunification.
    • Legal Advocacy: Aligning national laws with the UNCRC; train judiciary on child-sensitive procedures.
  3. Children’s Voices
    • Child-Led Platforms: Through safety mapping exercises and feedback boxes to inform program design.
    • School-Based Safe Spaces: Through psychosocial support and conflict resolution training.
  4. Protection
    • Emergency Contexts: Hotlines and mobile units for displaced/separated children.
    • Digital Safety: Combat online exploitation through education and reporting tools.

Emergency Response

Goal: To provide timely, coordinated, and lifesaving assistance to crisis-affected populations while laying the foundation for early recovery, resilience, and long-term stability.

We aim to deliver rapid, life-saving aid to communities affected by disasters, conflict, and displacement. Beyond immediate relief, we aim to help crisis-affected populations survive, recover, and rebuild with greater safety and preparedness for future shocks. We plan to provide urgent relief—including:

  1. Saving Lives and Alleviating Suffering
    • Rapid Needs Assessments: Conduct multi-sectoral assessments within 48–72 hours of crisis onset, using digital tools to map vulnerabilities and prioritize responses.
    • Lifesaving Relief:
      • Shelter & NFIs: Distribute emergency shelters, blankets, hygiene kits, and solar lamps.
      • Food Security: Provide food baskets, cash-for-food, and therapeutic feeding for malnourished children.
      • Health & WASH: Deliver emergency health services, safe water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene promotion.
  2. Protecting Vulnerable Populations: GBV and Child Protection – Safe spaces for women and children
    • Case management, and MHPSS.
    • Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA): Unrestricted cash or e-vouchers linked to local vendors/digital wallets for dignified access to essentials.
  3. Promoting Community-Led Recovery
    • Early Recovery Programs: Rehabilitate schools, water points, and health centers; provide livelihood restart kits (tools, seeds, grants).
    • Community Engagement: Feedback mechanisms (hotlines, help desks) and participatory planning to ensure accountability.
  4. Strengthening Preparedness
    • Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR): Train local responders, update contingency plans, and stockpile emergency supplies.
    • Early Warning Systems: Partner with meteorological agencies for localized alerts.

Partnerships: UN cluster system, local authorities, Red Cross/Red Crescent, and community-based organizations.

Climate Justice & Resilience

Goal: To strengthen community resilience and promote climate justice through locally led mitigation and adaptation strategies.

We advocate for equitable climate policies and mobilize grassroots movements to demand accountability from decision-makers. By combining practical resilience-building with systemic advocacy, we foster long-term sustainability and justice for those hardest hit by the climate crisis. Our Climate Justice & Resilience program empowers vulnerable communities to combat climate change impacts through locally-led solutions including:

  1. Building Climate Resilience
    • Community-Based Adaptation:
      • Agroecology: Train farmers in drought-tolerant crops, water harvesting, and sustainable fishing.
      • Infrastructure Climate-Proofing: Reinforce schools/clinics against floods/storms.
    • Nature-Based Solutions: Reforestation, mangrove restoration, and indigenous land management.
  2. Mitigating Emissions
    • Renewable Energy: Install solar panels, biogas units, and clean cook stoves in off-grid communities.
    • Green Enterprises: Support youth-led innovations in climate-smart tech and circular economies.
  3. Advocating for Climate Justice
    • Policy Influence: Campaign for equitable climate finance and transparency in national/international funding.
    • Climate Education: Radio shows, school curricula, and grassroots workshops to raise awareness.
  4. Enhancing Climate Governance
    • Risk Mapping: Train communities to monitor climate indicators and respond to early warnings.
    • Local Leadership: Empower women and youth to lead adaptation planning and decision-making.

Advocacy and Social Change

Goal: To influence laws, policies, and public attitudes to advance the rights and inclusion of marginalized communities.

Our Advocacy for Social Change program amplifies grassroots voices to challenge systemic inequalities and drive policy reform. We equip marginalized communities with the tools to advocate for their rights through leadership training, strategic campaigns, and direct engagement with decision-makers. From local community forums to national policy dialogues, we build powerful movements that hold institutions accountable through:

  2. Grassroots Mobilization
